Reign 32: Karina Lee Pheonix and Suzie Homewrecker stepped up on November 4, 2023, at the Westin. They further worked to get their royal family investiture-d that occurred on December 16th in a sit-com style “Where will the location be?” investiture. This reign made ISQCCBE history with it being the first ever Double Empress reign. Karina Lee Pheonix would be known as The Molten Lapis Phoenix of Broadway, Disney and Feather Fantasies. Half of the First Double Empress Reign. Suzie Homewrecker would be known as The Fun-Sized Femme Fatal of Hand me Down and Acceptable, Destroyer of The Devil’s Doorbell.
The designated charities were Caracole, Cincinnati Sisters, GLSN, Ohio Alleycat Rescue, and Visionaries and Voices. Reign 32 also supported additional charities in the community.
Karina’s goal was to rebuild the connections with the community and the court’s image. She attended multiple community events, such as Pride’s Night At Kings Island. Suzie’s goal for the reign was to increase communication and attendance from the charities the reign was working with. The empresses worked together on a monthly newsletter that Suzie then emailed to all the charities. Suzie also met regularly with a variety of charities and often would include them in conversations regarding event dates to ensure their attendance.
The monarchs traveled to a combined 9 cities (Karina 7, Suzie 9), but also made efforts to support outside courts in additional shows where Suzie attended both Waterfall’s investitures and Chicago’s investitures while Karina attended the Invasion Show in Chicago. Both empresses attended and hosted Kentucky’s investitures. Karina and Suzie also supported when available multiple Kentucky and Indiana events. Karina and Suzie were also announced as halves to the monarchs of Kentucky.
The monarchs worked to secure new venues where Karina had events at Hi-Mark and Suzie hosted and produced events at Stoney’s Inc, Northside Lounge, and Humble Monk. The court also received a new partnership with Northwood Cider where they contacted the court and created a month-long campaign where they would donate a portion of their proceeds in June for their special brew of the month. The monarchs kept up traditional shows of the Wreath Auction, The Toyland Show, the CAT Adoption Team Brunch and calendar, Cocktails for a Cause and more! Karina worked with Lebanon Pride to create a new benefit at Old Street that was one of our successful shows. Suzie kept up her Bands and Drag while adding two all ages events. Suzie also met with Caracole to suggest bringing back the Caracole Pageant with a twist where all the Northside charities for the reign (Cincinnati Animal CARE and Visionaries and Voices) were invited to compete. This event was well attended, and the plan will be to continue this pageant moving forward. Anita Dushay also brought back her Pride Night at the Museum.
On August 25, 2024, the ISQCCBE held its annual election and ICP Ball with the return of the Glammies at Knox Joseph Distillery where Queen Danicure and Kelly Coy were elected as the next monarchs. This year the court decided to change hotels in hopes we could give back more to our charities. Karina and Suzie stepped down on November 2, 2024, at The Radison. Queen Danicure was crowned Empress XXXIII and Kelly Jo Coy Emperor XXXIII.
