A first for the Cincinnati Court to have a biological female bestowed into the royal family. Cody Armstrong was initially named Imperial Crown Princess, but resigned and Ginger elevated Roberta Bigg to the position. The monarchs attended seven coronations events: Toronto, Louisville, Connecticut, Denver, Buffalo, Lexington and Vermont.
Designated charities for Reign XXII included AIDS Volunteers of Cincinnati, Caracole, Inc, AIDS Volunteers of Northern Kentucky, and YWCA Breast Cancer Awareness.
During August 2003, there were two candidates for Empress, Queenie Sweet and Truly Scrumptious, and two candidates for Emperor, Michael Angeline and Jay Rickels. Coronation XIII was held on September 6, 2003 titled "Moulin Rouge—From the Red Room to the Bedroom, The Show Must Go On!" Ginger and Sam stepped down and were succeed by Jay Rickels and Truly Scrumptious.
